You have to wonder what’s up with Scott Swiderski. The Insider reports that the chef, who was the top toque at Buddakan for 12 years, has bailed on Serafina, the local outpost of the popular New York Italian restaurant that’s about three weeks away from opening at 10 Rittenhouse. It’s the third kitchen he’s exited in less than a year. He first turned up at City Tap House following his departure from Buddkan. Then he was recruited to open The Corner. Following a very short stint there, Swiderski stepped out to take the reins of Serafina. Supposedly another nebulous project lured him away. There’s no word yet on how his leaving will affect the restaurant’s opening. [Insider]
