The praise continues to roll in for GT Fish & Oyster. Mike Sula thinks chef Giuseppe Tentori’s venture is “a significant step away from fine dining, but not an overstep.” The menu “blends near-provocation with beautiful simplicity.” The oysters are “terrifically fresh and skillfully shucked,” but they are also “accompanied by careful accents” like a “cocktail sauce emulsified with sweet apple.” Also, the “more ambitious dishes are every bit as appealing as the simpler ones.” Even the key lime pie is “terrific,” tasting like a “sweet-and-sour Molotov cocktail in a jar.” [Chicago Reader]
