Each year, on the Sunday before the Beard Awards, Michael Bauer’s partner Michael Murphy throws a party for S.F. nominees in New York, giving them a chance to see each other and bond before heading into the fray of the ceremony. This year, the party was at Barbuto — the restaurant of S.F. alum Jonathan Waxman — and sponsored by OpenTable. They’ve got a photo set of the event, taken by OpenTable blogger Caroline Potter.
