Humboldt Park: It could get a whole lot easier to get into Rootstock. The owners just purchased the building, and are planning to expand to the second floor. The plan will double the seating capacity of the place. According to co-owner, Tonya Clemmer, it should be ready “before the next snowfall.” [Chicago Mag]
Logan Square: When we first talked to the owners of Webster’s Wine Bar about their new project, all we could confirm with them was that it would be somewhere in Logan Square. But now it has a name (Smith), an address (2601 N. Milwaukee), and a potential opening date (late-June). [Eater]
River North: Bridge House Tavern may have opened its doors a few weeks ago, but its grand opening event was officially scheduled for today. But thanks to the torrential storms, the festivities have been rescheduled for next Thursday, June 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. [Chicago Reader]
