Chef Michael Tusk of Quince has bested the competition to take home the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Pacific. Also in the running this year were Christopher Kostow of Meadowood, Daniel Patterson of Coi, Michael Cimarusti of Providence in L.A., and Richard Reddington of Redd in Yountville. But Tusk proved victorious, and he looks really pleased. We called the race for him last year, but it took until 2011 to take home the Uncle Fester medal. Congrats, Mike.
