Perhaps you recall us mentioning something a few months ago about the 15 servers Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City let go because they allegedly had too much flab to fit into the skimpy new flapper girl get-ups the casino instituted with its Roaring 20s makeover. Well, today TMZ reports that nine of those women are getting a leg-up in their fight against the gambling hall in the form of celeb attorney Gloria Allred, who’s made a career out of high profile sexual harassment and gender inequality cases. In the suit filed today against Resorts, the servers demand back and lost wages, and damages for pain and suffering, claiming the casino’s decision to terminate them was unlawful and based on sex, age, and race discrimination.
