The U.S. Barista Championship took place in Houston this past Sunday and Nik Krankl, the son of Gelato Bar owner Gail Silverton, took second place for both the business and Los Angeles. You can catch Nik working with his fresh lot peaberry coffee from Caracol-Finca Matalapa El Salvador over at the competition’s blog and have a sip of the real thing over at both locations of Gelato Bar while supplies last.
