• Well, it’s not an official address, but we finally do know the general area where Phillip Foss’s new restaurant, El, will be located. It’ll be somewhere near the intersection of 14th St. and S. Western Avenue on the South Side. Foss admits to Chicago Mag that it’s “not a neighborhood restaurant,” and that he doesn’t “even know what neighborhood we are in.” His hope is to have the first dinner by “the first week of June.” [Chicago Mag]

• Instead of renewing its current lease, Deleece decided to move a few blocks south. The restaurant’s new owners also own the Mercury Theatre, which also plans to reopen soon. [Chicago Mag]
