The L.A. Times reminds us that Hollywood Outdoor Movies is bringing back its Outdoor Cinema Food Festival next Saturday, May 28th, and will continue every Saturday through summer. The weekly event changes locations each time, utilizing a different local park to stage a combination drive-in movie, food truck festival, and rock concert. For example, the first Saturday will show There’s Something About Mary on a three-story screen. Meanwhile, you need not bring a single bite as over seven food trucks will be on hand, like Nom Nom, Jose O’Malley, and Frysmith. The whole she-bang is chased with a concert by Glen Iris. On and on it goes until September 3rd.
Altogether it’s a pretty perfect night that packs a lot in. The only thing we’d like to see are the food trucks appropriately themed to the films. After all, NY Ice Connection should be anywhere this summer, it’s at the screening of Goodfellas! See the full schedule and get $10 advance tickets online, as the event can sell-out.
