Lincoln Park: Better Homes and Gardens and Weber are hosting the Chill and Grill Festival this weekend at Lincoln Park. The two day event features tastings, demonstrations, a “live Grilling Showdown,” cookbook signings, and much more. Ted Allen, Steve Dolinsky, Daisy Martinez, Art Smith, and Gale Gand are just a few of the food personalities who will be on hand. It’s free to enter, though some events, like the “Hands-on Grilling Classes,” have a fee. Click here for the event schedule. [Chill and Grill]

South Loop: The biggest event this weekend is the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show, which is apparently the “largest single gathering of restaurant, foodservice and lodging professionals” in the nation. Unfortunately, you have to be involved with the foodservice or lodging industry to get in. If you do get a pass, you’ll be able to see cooking demonstrations from Richard Blais, Marcus Samuelsson, and Rick Tramonto. Also, on Sunday Tom Colicchio will host the Star of the Bar mixology competition. Take a look at the FAQ for more details. [NRA]

West Loop: Not so much into beer, but still need a drink? Perhaps you should check out Wine Riot on Saturday, May 21. The event, which is being held at the Great Hall at Union Station, will allow you to sample over 250 wines, attend wine seminars, and ask questions to the Wine Intelligence Unit. Tickets are $50 per person. Click here for tickets. [Wine Riot]
