River North: Chicago Cut Steakhouse was a hit when it opened during the winter, but we have a feeling things will now be geting even crazier. With the weather improving, the steakhouse has officially opened its riverfront patio for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Fairbury, IL: Slagel Family Farms is hosting its first farm tour and dinner on May 14 for $125 per person. Learn how to butcher beef from Butcher and Larder’s Rob Levitt, tour the farm, and then sit down to a meal prepared by the chefs of The Bristol, Nightwood, and One Sixtyblue. Bus transportation will be provided. [Nightwood]
West Town: Prairie Fire is celebrating national hamburger month with something slightly unusual. The restaurant will be offering a bunless burger, topped with Amish blue cheese and served with char-grilled tomatoes and red onions. Plus, burgers are “buy one get one free” all day on Wednesday.
River North: Bridge Bar will be offering a series of daily specials throughout May, including Frikadeller Meatballs for only 50 cents on Mondays, $3 cocktails on Tuesdays, and an $8 burger and beer combo on Wednesdays.
