Bottle Cap to Debut in Mid-June, With a Blue Plate Chef

A couple of months back we caught wind of what would be replacing the old WashBag (1707 Powell Street) on Washington Square, and it’s going to be called Bottle Cap, from Sens chef Dane Boryta and his wife and business partner Liz Ferro. The cuisine will be “ingredient-driven American,” with cocktails by a Bourbon & Branch alum, but now we hear via Tablehopper that they’ve hired a chef de cuisine: Matt Sullivan, currently at The Blue Plate. Sullivan will remain at Blue Plate a few more weeks, but it sounds like Blue Plate chef-owner Cory Obenour will be doing some hiring shortly. [Tablehopper, Earlier]
