Forget Next. Tonight, the most expensive restaurant seat in the city will be at mk, where President Obama will be hosting a $35,800-per-person fundraiser. He’s in town to help launch his reelection campaign, and will also be appearing at at Navy Pier and N9Ne Steakhouse. But nothing will be quite as ridiculous as the dinner at mk. So what do you serve to a diner who has spent $35,800 to eat? Instead of a feast of foie gras, truffles, and caviar, Chefs Michael Kornick and Erick Williams will be serving only “sustainably produced food and wine,” including beef from Tallgrass Beef Company and perch from Sweet Water Organics.
