After just one year, the team of Karim Masri and Nicola Siervo will be ending their operating contract at Trump Soho on Spring Street. The team behind Miami’s insanely popular Quattro Gastronomia Italiana opened an outpost in the downtown hotel last April, but the partnership with building owners Bayrock Sapir has already fallen apart. “We are in the midst of negotiating our management agreement with the ownership of Trump Soho,” explained Masri, who said that a real possibility is for the Quattro name to be licensed out to the hotel. “We are seriously looking at this option,” he added. When we reached out to twin-brother chefs Fabrizio and Nicola Carro to find out what their involvement would be, they referred us back to Masri, who in turn told us that Fabrizio would stay on if the licensing agreement goes through.
