Beer-centric restaurant Monk’s Kettle (3141 16th Street), which only recently got itself a new chef and revamped food menu, is about to get a little wine list help from Jeff Segal, owner of popular Mission wine bar Heart. “It seemed like a natural fit,” says Segal, who’s become friends with Monk’s Kettle owners Christian Albertson and Nat Cutler and will curate some wine-and-food pairings as well. Though the bros and beer geeks will continue to pour in for that huge beer list, we’re sure their girlfriends will be happy to find some better wines to choose from shortly. [Grub Street]
