Bar Tartine Expansion Nears, Hayward Restaurant Burns, and More

Mission: Tartine’s new bread and sandwich shop, next door to Bar Tartine, is aiming to open at least the front lounge and counter portion by early May, providing over-flow space for the restaurant at night and perhaps (!) selling bread by day. The completion of the kitchen at the back of the space, with custom brick oven, will follow. [Grub Street]
Right down the block, Delfina’s new offshoot Locanda is still looking at a late-April opening, permits permitting. [Grub Street]
Hayward: Naked Fish Japanese Cuisine burned down last night. The restaurant was a total loss, but surrounding businesses were spared. [Tribune]
Windsor: Michelin-starred restaurant Mirepoix is closing until June 7 to do some much needed repairs. The same owners also run the more casual Bistro M around the corner. [Scoop]

Napa: Ubuntu chef Aaron London is adding twelve new spring dishes to the menu this week. [Eater]
