As part of that kooky pop-up the James Beard Foundation is doing at Chelsea Market in NYC, Manresa chef David Kinch and his chef de cuisine John Paul Carmona are cooking a series of ever-so-Californian dinners, May 11 through 14. All the regular tickets are sold out, but Gilt City is putting up a limited number for sale on Monday, May 2 at 10 a.m. eastern for the 8 p.m. seating on each night. The prices are $83 per ticket for May 11 and 12, and $110 for May 13 and 14, for a wine-paired, four-course menu including green garden gazpacho with almond milk vegetable beignets; a romaine and abalone salad; and suckling porcelet with whey polenta, rhubarb, hazelnut, and spring onions. Sign up for Gilt here and get your clicking fingers ready. This would be a rare chance to see 2010’s Best Chef: Pacific winner in action on the East Coast.
