Earlier reports that the Eagle would be forced to close April 29 appear to have been premature, and SFist now confirms, via bar manager Ron Hennis, that they will stay open throughout the jolly month of May, so that gays about town can get in a few more Sunday beer busts in the sun. Says Hennis, “We’re hoping [to remain open] all summer,” but so far any efforts by the Board of Supervisors to contact the landlords for further information have gone unresponded to. As discussed previously, the owners of Skylark in the Mission may have designs on doing something new with the Eagle space. [SFist, Earlier]
