You know how former Quince pastry chef William Werner has been out on his own selling pastries and preserves and such at farmers’ markets? He’s also getting set to open his brick-and-mortar shop, Tell Tale Preserve Co. at 33 Maiden Lane, sometime soon. This past weekend Cooking with the Single Guy snapped some photos of Werner’s Ferry Building offerings, including this delicious looking savory breakfast muffin that he’s calling The Rebel Within ($6, not to be confused with Frog Hollow Farms’ scuffins, the scone-muffin hybrid), featuring baked-in sausage and a soft-boiled egg in the center. Yes please.
