Yesterday Josh and Collen Lawler opened their byob Farm & the Fisherman at 11 and Pine. A week or so before that, The Farmer’s Daughter opened at what used to be Coleman’s at Normandy Farms. In weeks to come Marathon Restaurants will have their farm in Brewerytown up and running, and that will be right after Talula’s Garden, the restaurant from farm-to-table grande dame Aimee Olexy opens. And after that? Frankly, we will have officially had our fill of farm-fetishism. Hopefully by that point, Speck will be opened and we can swap out all this Old MacDonald business for Shola Olunloyo’s precision gastro-geekery.
