While the Food Network may be taking over the menus of ballparks across the nation with something called the Red, White & Blue Steak Sandwich (we’re not making this up), Wrigley Field is shockingly looking to source more local products. After years of selling Sara Lee’s Ball Park franks, the home of the Chicago Cubs will rightfully return to selling Vienna Beef hot dogs. The Chicago Cub’s chief sales and marketing officer, Wally Hayward, told the Tribune that visitors to the ballpark were “looking for an authentic Chicago experience.” The stadium is embracing other local restaurants, too, as it will feature hamburgers from Stanley’s Kitchen & Tap and wings from The Fifty/50. By the way, we’ll be taking ours fully loaded. [Trib]
