Sunday marks the premiere of America’s Next Great Restaurant on NBC (perhaps you’ve noticed the ads on this very site?), and Chron TV critic David Wiegand already saw a screener and writes, “what makes the show at least mildly interesting is that it’s not always easy to predict who will make it to the next round and who will be cut.” Huh. Sounds a lot like every other reality show! Also, the show lacks a “key ingredient” of wacky judges. For lack of a Paula Abdul, Wiegand gives it a big , which is like a B-minus we think.
