A while back we told you that Aimee Olexy and Bryan Sikora, the former husband and wife team behind Talula’s Table, were “squaring off” this spring with competing restaurants just a few blocks away from each other. So far it sound like Olexy, who is opening Talula’s Garden with Stephen Starr in the former Washington Square space in coming weeks, is sticking to the Talula’s Table recipe for success. Early reports suggest she’s going with a farm-fresh focus to try and reproduce the Talula’s magic. Details emerging from the Sikora camp reveal that he’s going for a more refined approach, drawing inspiration from Spanish, French and Italian cuisines, according to Meal Ticket. The project, which still doesn’t have a name, is expected to start seating diners in May. [Meal Ticket]
