The space that once housed La Rondalla at 20th and Valencia, famous for having a decent cheap margarita and lovingly referred to as both a “Rosarita crack den” and a “diarrhea factory,” may once again become La Rondalla, and some fresh construction activity inside suggest things are moving along toward that goal. Mission Mission commenters started a rumor a couple of years back that the owner refused to lease the space to anyone else, and last September brought us word that La Rondalla was reopening as La Rondalla. We can only hope, although reconstructing a dive to be like new and be up to code seems counterproductive.
