It was over two years ago that we first heard Sam Talbot would be the chef at the Mondrian Soho, and now here we are. The hotel, inspired by Jean Coucteau’s 1946 film La Belle et la Bête, is open, and today, Talbot’s Imperial No. 9 will start serving sustainable seafood under a glass roof. This is probably the most out-there design we’ve seen since another movie-inspired eatery, FoodParc, so do click through our slideshow to see the crystal chandeliers, ficus trees, and mirror-topped tables, as well as a handful of Talbot’s dishes.
