Here’s some more bad news for KDK Restaurants. The restaurant group had to close Marché last summer, lost the head chef at Red Light in December, and then had to close Opera in January. Now there appears to be an issue with Gioco. According to Crain’s, the South Loop restaurant had its retail license suspended by the state on Wednesday due to some tax issues. Co-owner Jerry Kleiner claims that the restaurant is still “very profitable,” and those other restaurant closings have caused the issues. In fact, he hopes that it will reopen soon. Let’s hope that’s true. [Crain’s]
