Stephen Starr and Aimee Olexy have finally settled on a name for the restaurant that they are opening in the former Washington Square space next month. But it’s a pretty obvious choice. They plan on calling it Talula’s Garden, the Insider reports. Still what it lacks in originality, it has in spades for brand recognition. Talula’s Table remains one of the country’s toughest reservations to secure. It’s either wait a year for your seating, or pray for a cancellation. The new spot, which will be helmed by Blue Duck Tavern’s former top toque Michael Santoro, will carry on its namesake’s farm-to-table approach, but with an emphasis on a la carte menus, and needless to say, a much easier reservation policy. The indoor portion of the restaurant will supposedly be ready in early April, with outdoor portion opening a few weeks later.
