Temporary Closings

Flour + Water to Close Temporarily for Spring Sprucing

Starting next Thursday, March 24, Flour + Water is going on hiatus for a quick refurbishing and menu upgrade — and giving the staff, as the press release notes, “a well deserved break.” They’ll reopen eleven days later, on April 4, with a fresh coat of paint and a slightly longer pasta menu, increasing the number of dishes from five to eight with at least two extra fresh pasta selections per day. The announcement comes just two days after executive chef Thomas McNaughton scored a spot on the Chron’s Rising Star list for 2011, and a month after he landed on the long-list for the James Beard Rising Star prize, so maybe he can afford a little vacation before spring gets fully underway. Note: There are still a few seats left for this beermaker dinner in the Dough Room on Monday. [Grub Street, Earlier]
