Total Recall

Even Fancy Food Gets Recalled Sometimes

It’s not just mass-produced peanut butter that gets tainted. Creekstone Farms, whose name has recently been popping up on menus around the country (we seriously have trouble remembering the last time we saw a menu that didn’t reference them) issued a recall for its ground-beef products earlier this week. Nothing too major to worry about — just a little potential E. coli contamination. Oops! The company told the Arkansas City Traveler, “All subject cases have been identified and we are working closely with our customers to coordinate the recall of all product remaining in commerce.” But the health risk is listed as “HIGH” so you still might want to steer clear of upscale burgers for a bit.
