All Play, No Work At The Office, Now Open in West Hollywood

We’re crossing our fingers that L.A.’s over-saturated speakeasy market could eventually lead to new concepts as fun and fresh as The Office, a new bar and restaurant that just opened in West Hollywood. Greg in Hollywood reports on Saturday’s grand-opening, which included an appearance by Glee’s Darren Criss, which the Greg-ster shot lots of video of. Anyway, a glance at the restaurant’s website shows a tongue-in-cheek parody of the Steve Carrell show here, only with buffer boys and much less clothing. Cooking here is Huntley See, the former exec chef at nearby Mickey’s, who is taking a seasonal steakhouse approach, with offerings of pesto caprese, Angus sliders, ribs, seafood, green bean frites, and something called “Mommy Dearest Meatloaf.” From the look of things on Facebook, everybody is smiling and having a really good time at this office, no doubt due to the fact that, unlike your own boring office, you can get totally plastered and semi-naked at this one.
