Rumors went around that in closing for renovations a couple of weeks ago, Zeitgeist might be addressing their bathroom problem — bathrooms/porta-johns that have been alternately described as “effing disgusting” and “a Superfund site.” But no! As Uptown Almanac reports, the place reopened yesterday, and the renovations really just consist of some new taps and windows behind the bar that allow bartenders to serve people directly out in the beer garden. And, alas, no more bumper sticker wall behind the bar. Also, they have new computerized registers that appear to have credit card-swiping capability, but they remain, angrily, cash-only.
