After many months of waiting and countless setbacks, Fathom Seafood House, the seafoodie gastropub from Fish and Little Fish’s Mike Stollenwerk that Grub Street’s been rambling on about forever, finally soft opened yesterday, almost nine months after it was first announced and at least three months past its original projected opening. The cozy corner spot at Girard Ave. and Shackamaxon features a wrap-around bar that seats 24, and several two-top and four-top tables with enough seating for about 20 more. The menu features a selection of seasonally changing raw bar items, priced per piece or per ounce, and an array of seafood creations that range from Peekytoe crab cakes and cod pierogies to smoked marlin tacos and wild Littleneck clams.
