The Farmer’s Daughter, the new restaurant and bar that Grub Street mentioned back in November was going to replace former A Chef’s Table host Jim Coleman’s eponymous restaurant at the suburban hotel and conference complex, Normandy Farms, opens Friday. The new spot will feature an expanded bar area and bar menu, a farm-to-table focused menu from new chef Corey Fair and six-course family style dinners at a chef’s table, according to a prepared statement. While all this comes as great news, we can’t help but wonder what happened to Coleman. Shortly after announcing his departure from Normandy Farms, his locally produced radio program was canceled. We later heard he was signed on to oversee the culinary operations for World Café Live, but according to the Insider, he’s already moved on. [Insider]
