Based on the huge turnout, last night’s epic match-up of House of Vetri and House of Perrier for Amis’ monthly industry night proved wildly popular with Philly’s “in-the-biz” folk. With the place completely packed by 10:30, Marc Vetri joked, “If it’s this crowded now, I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like when everyone gets out of work.” While Garces employees held court in one corner, and guest of honor Georges Perrier sipped from a can of Sofia champagne and chatted with admirers in another, a steady stream of hungry party-goers snaked around the room patiently awaiting the French country picnic-inspired fare Amis chef Brad Spence, Le Bec-Fin chef de cuisine Nicholas Elmi and their respective kitchen staffs were serving up buffet style. Grub Street stopped in briefly and snapped a few pictures of what was being served. Click through to see them and let us know with a comment which ones pique your appetite.
