Kim Alter’s new Sausalito creation Plate Shop (39 Caledonia Street), which has seen some predictable (read: Marin-related) delays from their scheduled January opening (which had previously been a mid-summer, then a fall opening), is ready for its debut, possibly as soon as Saturday for a soft opening. The grand opening from the former sous at Aqua and Ubuntu is scheduled for Tuesday, February 8. Here, again, is the draft menu we shared earlier, and note that food will be served 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. weekdays, and until 10:00 p.m. on weekends, with the bar open at 4 p.m. The concept is garden-driven, as Alter told Grub Street last year, with a big garden in back that she’s been tending for about a year already. She hopes that “every plate can be touched by the garden in some way.” Also, they have a newsletter you can sign up for. [Scoop, Earlier]
