Open Carry Advocates Discharged From Redondo Red Robin

If you can’t act like a right-wing nut in the South Bay, where can you go? A dozen armed Open Carry advocates from the region got the boot from Redondo Beach police at a South Bay Galleria location of Red Robin this past Saturday. The gun fanatics are arguing that they’ve been to the restaurant on previous occasions (they must love the chain’s self-described “insanely delicious experience”) and are being harassed, while the sergeant who demanded their firearms be inspected for ammo insists it’s the privately owned mall’s policy to ban guns from the premises (a pretty sound policy). We have a feeling the Open Carry crew will be more welcome at a South Bay haven like Koffee Kart, where the airing of Fox News chased us away long ago (with help from our empty cups). [Easy Reader]
