Oh, Dear: New Vegetarian Restaurant to Refer to Faux Duck as ‘Quack’, Etc.

Upcoming Design District vegetarian restaurant Source (Division and DeHaro), which the Scoop brings word of, plans to feed both “body and soul,” with “mainstream international comfort vegetarian food prepared in unique ways.” They’ve chosen a slightly unfortunate route with the naming of their un-chicken and faux duck dishes, using animal sounds in place of the meat, e.g. Peking Quack, and Cluck Tikka Masala. (Can you hear Paolo’s barely muffled snickers yet?) Also, there’ll be pizza, fresh bread, color therapy, and in place of alcohol, various energizing and calming elixirs. (We assume BYOB is cool? Will we get weird looks?) They’re aiming for early March.
