Kennett Finally Fires Up Its Pizza Oven

Since it first opened back in early December, Kennett’s been keeping its pizza oven — the veritable centerpiece to the Queen Village restaurant’s open kitchen — cold. But according to Meal Ticket’s Drew Lazor, Kennett chef Brian Ricci has been warming up his pizza-making chops in recent weeks by sparking up the sidelined wood-fired Forno Bravo. Applying the same locavore leanings that he draws on for the restaurant’s existing menu, Ricci is turning out what sounds like some pretty tasty creations, including a pulled pork pie that features housemade farmer’s cheese and whipped lardo!
