Rockaway’s surfer and lifeguard bar Connolly’s traditionally reopens for a day during the peninsula’s St. Patty’s parade (March 5), and this year jonesing beach bums will also get an early fix of that other summer institution, Rockaway Taco! Chef Andrew Field, just back from surfing the Indian Ocean, is still keeping mum about those boardwalk concessions, but tells us he’ll be serving fish tacos, street snacks, and beer at Rice in Dumbo on February 22 from 6 till 11 p.m. Go celebrate the fact that the eastern seaboard is finally getting some respect from the pros!
