Openings

Fathom Hits Another Snag

Grub Street just checked in on Fathom Seafood House, the long delayed seafood-centric pub from Fish and Little Fish owner Mike Stollenwerk that we recently reported had finally gained its zoning approval and was just one more inspection away from opening, and it appears as if its still in a holding pattern. An opening next week is unlikely. The latest snag? Wiring! The entire space needed to be rewired and upgraded from 100 amps to 400 amps to meet 2011 code requirements, which will likely add an additional $8,000 to $10,000 to the stalled restaurant’s tab. A new inspection is scheduled for next week, and provided that Fathom passes — it has twice before — it could see an opening soon after.
