Vinyl, the New ‘Groove-y’ Wine Bar on Divis, Is Now Open

Late last month we caught wind of a new partnership between Makris Wine guys Mark Bright (also the sommelier at Saison) and Kris Esqueda with Sushi Groove owner Nabiel Musleh to open a wine bar-with-food in the Café Divis space. Well, Vinyl has just opened, and as Thrillist notes, they’ve got thirteen wines on tap (five white, five red, and three sparkling) from local, urban wineries, as well as an international bottle selection from the personal cellar of Mr. Bright. There’s also a dozen beers by the bottle or can, and a huge collection of vintage LPs courtesy of Musleh, with a mobile turntable setup that is DIY for patrons. Next week there’ll be a There’ll soon be a dinner menu added to existing lunch and breakfast offerings, similar to Café Divis’s, and we should have more on that later.
