In the wake of The Social Network’s Golden Globes best-picture success, we stopped to talk with Thirsty Scholar owner Patrick Cross. His pub was featured prominently in the film, and he spent two-and-a-half days getting chummy with director David Fincher, actor Jesse Eisenberg, and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin. And guess what? They’re just regular folks like you and me!

On Fincher: “He’s very gracious, very talkative. Just a down-to-earth, good guy. When we were doing an outside scene, he invited me to the monitor to see how cool my bar looked! You don’t think these Hollywood heads are so easygoing. If you noticed, he took the time to thank everybody [at the Golden Globes], the small people, which is a credit to him and his work is obviously unbelievable.”

On Sorkin: “He’s another cool guy, but his agents wouldn’t allow local press. I had great chats with him on- and off-set.”

On Eisenberg: “Young Jesse is another cool kid as well. He posed for plenty of pictures outside the bar.”

Aww. Do we sense a sequel?
