Here’s an honest question: Why are the names of these new food trucks so awesome? We already have Meatyballs and Tamalli Space Charros, and now comes The Southern Mac, which will be dishing out various kinds of mac and cheese. It’s the brainchild of The Southern’s Cary Taylor. As reported by Feast, the truck should be hitting the streets later in the month, and will be serving up the cheesy dish for $8, with a special lobster version going for $12 to $14. It sounds like a great match, as the strict Chicago food truck laws shouldn’t be much of an issue for a truck that will simply be dishing out warm mac and cheese. Still, for the time being at least, we are most impressed with the name. [The Feast]
