That Jewelry Store/Wine Bar Is Open, Hudson Opens In Oakland, and More

Photo: Grub Street

Castro: D&H; Sustainable Jewelry (2323 Market Street), which happens to have a liquor license and a little wine bar set up in back, is now open, and serving up glasses of Pinot with their pins and necklaces. [Grub Street, Earlier]

Mission: Monk’s Kettle (3141 16th Street), which just got a new chef and just celebrated three years, now has [.pdf warning] a new menu. [Eater]

Also, Panchita’s #3 (3115 22nd Street) was/is closed for some “upgrades,” but some suspect they may not reopen. [Uptown Almanac]

Pacific Heights: That place we mentioned last week, Sweet Jane’s (2123 Fillmore), opening next door to Citizen Cake, will actually be called just plain Jane, and will be third-wave coffee bar with pastry, sandwiches, and wine. It may open by early February. [Scoop]

Also in the same hood, 20-year-old Café Kati (1963 Sutter) is shuttering after the owner has been ill, and it will be replaced by something called Roostertail Rotisserie. [Scoop]

Oakland: Hudson, the replacement concept for Garibaldi’s/Marzano on College Avenue, opens tonight. [Scoop]

Fisherman’s Wharf: Here’s a leftover from last week: 70-year-old fish wholesaler Alioto-Lazio Fish Co. is closed indefinitely while an oil cleanup goes on behind their building. [Chron]
