Following April’s White Star scare, Sasha Petraske himself confirmed to us that the cocktail bar was alive and kicking — and adding wine and food. But now we learn that as of a few weeks ago, Petraske is no longer affiliated with the two-and-a-half-year-old drinks den. Two of the new managers and owners are Vito Palmore and John Byrd, and Palmore tells us they’ve swapped in a new, non-Petraske-designed cocktail list, though you can still order his creations off the menu. No food is currently being offered. As to why the Milk & Honey maestro parted ways with White Star, Palmore wouldn’t or couldn’t say, simply telling us, “Sasha’s concentrating on his other projects” right now.
