Like many of the city’s valiant restaurant workers, Pub & Kitchen co-owner Ed Hackett has had his ass kicked by Restaurant Week more times than he would like to remember. “My last Restaurant Week experience was when I worked at Alma De Cuba,” Hackett told Grub Street. “Those stairs were brutal. I felt like I had been to boot camp training and had calves of steel by the end of Restaurant Week.” So for the city’s industry folk who are likely taking a beating this week and next, Pub & Kitchen has re-instituted its Industry Relief. Each night after 10 p.m., the P&K; peeps are serving a host of nightly specials for the tired and hungry huddling masses yearning for a place to sit down and enjoy a much needed drink.

For this latest Industry Relief, P&K; has teamed up with Sly Fox to offer cans of the Phoenixville brewer’s beers for $2.50. In addition to discounted beers, Hackett says they will also offer “spontaneous food specials” like last night’s half-priced pulled pork sandwiches.
