Permission Granted for Zabumba’s Sale

Zabumba, the lively Palms Brazilian restaurant whose owner, Monica Beresford-Redman, was slain in Mexico last April, could soon be up for sale. A judge handling Monica’s estate has granted permission to her sisters, currently running operations here, to sell part or all of the restaurant, described as “struggling” by Beverly Hills Courier. Currently, a battle is still brewing over two wills, one of which grants Monica’s assets to her children, the other giving possession to her in-laws, with a family cook being sought to confirm witness to the signing of the latter.
