Paesano’s Italian Market outpost, which opened a little more than a year ago, is closed. But don’t freak out just yet; it’s only temporary. The immensely popular sandwich spot from Modo Mio’s Peter McAndrew, which has been giving long established sandwich and cheesesteak joints a run for their money since opening, is in the process of relocating a little further south to the former Bebe’s Barbecue space, vacated last summer at 1017 S. Ninth St. In the coming weeks, Paesano’s will be back up and running at its new home, while McAndrew readies an all new BYOB called Monsu at its old digs. The old-original Paesano’s on Girard Ave. remains open.
