Matt Jennings Wins Boston’s Cochon 555 for the Third Time

Matt Jennings of Providence’s Farmstead/La Laiterie won Cochon 555 last night for the third year running; yet again, he’s the crown prince of porc. He had some formidable competition: Garden at the Cellar’s Will Gilson, Scampo’s Lydia Shire, Hungry Mother’s Barry Maiden, and Mary Dumont of Harvest. Now he gets to compete at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. Tough to go wrong with menu items that bordered on porcine porn. Lard-toasted waffle poutine? Chorizo pop rocks? Yeah, we’d eat that.
