People in Marin, in case you didn’t know, like things a certain way. The bucolic idyll and unsurpassed quality of life that they enjoy was not created in a day, and they do not take kindly to interlopers who get too wacky with their marketing techniques. Therefore the owners of Pizza Orgasmica, whose fourth location was set to debut this week in San Rafael, are facing some serious flack from neighbors for the shade of DayGlo canary that they chose for their restaurant’s facade, as the Marin Independent Journal reports. Residents are so put off, in fact (with one lady getting in a dig about the name, joking, “What’s next, Tacos Fellatio?”) that the opening is being held until the town can have a Design Review Board meeting about the color. Look for the place to take on a more civilized, pastel hue sometime soon.
